Our standard diagnostic service call is $119. The senior diagnostic service call is $60; please request senior pricing when booking. The $119 flat-rate diagnostic covers the booked issue during that visit, including regular, after-hours and emergency visits. There is no hourly diagnostic charge, regardless of how long the on-site diagnosis takes. Seniors receive priority scheduling where practical, after urgent safety calls and subject to location and technician availability. Diagnosis only. Repairs are quoted separately before you approve the work. The fee covers diagnosis for that visit; parts and approved repairs are separate.
02How much will a new system cost to install?+

03Why does my gas fireplace keep turning off?+
Possible causes include pilot or sensor issues, control faults, overheating and venting concerns. Inspection is the safest way to identify the cause.
04How often should a gas fireplace be serviced?+
Annual service is a useful baseline, especially before the main heating season or when operation changes.
05Is soot on fireplace glass normal?+
A light film may develop, but heavy or rapid soot buildup can indicate a combustion, burner or venting problem that should be checked.
06Can you replace an older gas fireplace?+
Yes. We can assess the opening, venting, gas supply and installation requirements for replacement options.
07What is included in gas-fireplace maintenance?+
Service commonly includes accessible burner and firebox cleaning, ignition and control checks, flame observation and a review of visible venting and safety concerns.
08Why does my fireplace glass turn cloudy?+
A light film can develop from normal operation, while heavy soot or rapid buildup may indicate a burner, log-placement or combustion concern.
09Can a gas fireplace heat a room during an outage?+
Some millivolt systems can operate without household electricity, while fans and electronic controls may not. Check the model’s instructions before relying on it.
10What affects gas-fireplace replacement cost?+
Appliance type, opening size, venting, gas supply, finishing materials, access and required permits or inspections influence the project.
